2. TAXIS IN STOCKHOLM
Taxi operation in Stockholm is deregulated. This means:
1. At a taxi stand (such as the one at the Arlanda Airport or Stockholm Central Station (adjacent to the City Terminus) you can take any taxi of your choice – if necessary a minibus taxi – wherever it stands in the queue. You don’t have to take the first one in line.
We recommend you look for one from the following three largest operators – see below…
2. Fixed fare: You can always ask for the fare price in advance and often you will get a fixed price. This is especially advisable when going to and from Arlanda Airport to a destination in Greater Stockholm.
3. Pre-ordered to meet your flight: If your flight arrives at Arlanda International Airport, and you are not enough in the group to motivate using the Charter Bus Service above, we suggest you take taxis to your hotel, whether it is one of the Player’s Hotels or other accommodation of your choice. The best procedure is to pre-order the taxi – asking for a Minibus which will seat 7 persons (8 on Taxi 020’s MaxiTaxi) – and they will have the driver(s) meet your flight in the arrival hall with the name of the person or group on a sign.
Order by e-mail or phone (the telephone operators all understand and speak English and international calls are only about 10p per minute).
Your must then give them a name, flight number, date and expected arrival time, and a telephone number (mobile/cellphone) as well as the number or persons to be picked up.

Yes Uber works in Sweden. It’s often the same price as Taxis though during rush hours so pick which is more convenient. You can download the Uber app from Google Play or Apple Appstore.
4. FROM AIRPORTS
Most airports have buses that take you to the central station in Stockholm. Flygbussarna is the largest operator but there are others too. From Arlanda there is also a high speed train. It costs a bit more but is faster.
From the central station you can take the subway to station “Globen” it is only 5 stops and takes about 10 minutes. Then it´s a 5 minute walk. Tickets must be purchased before you travell. You might consider getting a 72H ticket for 200kr that covers all public transport. A single trip ticket in zone A is 30kr.
